Overview Of The Role The Network Architect will design, implement, and support enterprise‑scale network architecture across on‑premises and Azure cloud environments. This is a role requiring broad expertise across LAN, WAN, and cloud networking, with a strong focus on scalable design and operational impact across a large, distributed enterprise environment. What You’ll Be Doing In The Role Design and implement enterprise network architectures across LAN, WAN, and Azure cloud environments. Provide hands‑on technical leadership for network design, deployment, and modernization initiatives. Assess architectural decisions for operational impact, scalability, and long‑term supportability. Support network initiatives across multiple geographically distributed locations. Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and operations teams to deliver integrated network solutions. Develop and maintain network architecture standards, diagrams, and documentation. Participate in technology selection, design reviews, and enterprise network roadmap planning. Troubleshoot complex network issues and guide root cause analysis and resolution. Create detailed implementation plans, schedules, and technical work estimates. Provide regular status updates, risk identification, and issue reporting to stakeholders. What Skills / Qualifications You’ll Need To Do The Job Experience in enterprise networking or infrastructure roles. Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise‑scale network architectures. Strong hands‑on expertise in LAN and WAN networking technologies. Experience working in a Cisco‑based (CISCO shop) networking environment. Hands‑on experience with cloud networking, particularly Microsoft Azure. Experience supporting large, geographically distributed environments with hundreds of locations. Strong understanding of network design principles, scalability, availability, and performance. Ability to evaluate and communicate the operational impact of technical decisions. Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and business teams. Experience in manufacturing environments is considered an asset. …And You Are Always improving your skills and knowledge: you want to be the best at what you do.
