Finance Accounting Consultant

Financial Accounting Consultant (initially a 6-Month Contract) We are seeking a hands‑on, technically strong accounting professional for a critical 6‑month engagement. The primary mandate is to steer the finance function through a rigorous year‑end audit process. This role requires immediate impact to handle reporting, oversee full‑cycle accounting, and manage cash flow processes during a challenging period for the business. While this position will not convert to permanent, it offers high‑level exposure to capital markets, debt management, financial accounting and planning, and operational restructuring. In this position, you will work with a very experienced CFO who recently joined to help the organization through this difficult time. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors to ensure a successful quarterly and annual audit close. Oversee full‑cycle accounting for select entities, approving month‑end close entries, closing documentation, and ensuring the accuracy of forecasts. Prepare and submit IFRS‑based reporting packages, lender deliverables, and cost consultant reports, ensuring all supporting financial schedules are audit‑ready. Prepare equity and debt draws, monitor liquidity, and oversee treasury controls, including banking permissions and tax filings. Support investor relations inquiries and partner with portfolio management to assess capital needs. Enhance and standardize inter‑company processes (confirmations, reconciliations) and monthly project reporting, identifying areas to improve accounting systems and policies. Support the consolidation and analysis of budgets and multi‑statement business plans to provide clear visibility into financial performance. Requirements Designation (CPA) with strong year‑end statement preparation experience. Ideally experience with project reporting, debt draws, and treasury controls (not mandatory). Hands‑on Yardi experience would be nice to have. Ability to work autonomously in a distressed or turnaround environment.
