Welcome to the Personal Finance Advisor position at Desjardins. Job Overview As a personal finance advisor, you’ll develop and maintain lasting and trusting business relationships with members and clients, ensuring their satisfaction. You’ll listen to their needs, offer tailored advice, recommend financial solutions, and collaborate with partners to deliver integrated strategies that support members’ financial goals. Responsibilities Advise members and clients on the best strategies and work with them to identify expected results. Manage business relationships, assess satisfaction and service quality, follow up, and identify areas for improvement. Stay up-to-date on the financial services industry, market trends, and best practices. Participate in outreach activities and represent Desjardins in the community. What You Bring To The Table Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Minimum one year of relevant experience. Other combinations of qualifications and experience may be considered. Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers. Knowledge of French is required. Knowledge of current financial, economic, political and legislative events. Knowledge of products and services offered by Desjardins and competitors. Debt management experience. Understanding of compliance with legislation surrounding distribution of financial products and services. Understanding of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial services cooperatives. Knowledge of policies, legislation and standards related to products and services offered by Desjardins. Techniques used to assess and monitor individual financing applications.
