MRB Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality, to resolve material and structural technical engineering issues identified during production or in-service. Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, providing technical engineering guidance and recommendations. Analyze stress reports, non-conformities, and deviations, proposing technical engineering effective solutions to maintain airworthiness. Work closely with DADs to ensure compliance with safety standards. Technical Engineering Structural Analysis: Conduct detailed stress analysis using finite element methods (FEM) and classical hand calculations. Evaluate structural components, assemblies, and modifications. Assess fatigue life, static strength, and damage tolerance. Identify critical areas and propose design improvements. Technical Engineering Documentation: Prepare stress reports, technical engineering compliance documents, and engineering change requests (ECRs). Document findings, assumptions, and methodologies. Maintain accurate records for certification purposes. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes. Collaborate with R&D teams to enhance stress analysis tools and methodologies. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization. How to thrive in this role? Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in stress analysis for aircraft structures. Proficiency in FEM software (such as Nastran, Abaqus, or Ansys). Familiarity with aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, Transport Canada). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
