Senior Data Analyst / Data Product Owner (Contract) 12-Month Contract | Hybrid – Toronto We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst / Data Product Owner to join a marketing data squad on a 12-month contract . This is a strategic opportunity for a data professional who operates at the intersection of analytics, product ownership, and stakeholder delivery , and who enjoys turning complex data into actionable insights that drive marketing performance. This role is well suited for someone who is both hands-on with data and comfortable owning data products end to end , from requirements and backlog prioritization through delivery and continuous optimization. Start Date: January 26, 2026 End Date: December 31, 2026 Rate: $65–$75/hr Role Overview As a Senior Data Analyst / Data Product Owner, you will lead the data and analytics needs supporting marketing campaigns and initiatives. You will work closely with business, marketing, and technology stakeholders to define data requirements, prioritize work, and deliver high-quality data products that enable informed decision-making and measurable outcomes. You will play a key role in shaping how data is used to measure campaign effectiveness, optimize performance, and support strategic marketing objectives within a large, enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery Partner with stakeholders across marketing, data, and technology teams to understand, prioritize, and deliver on data needs Manage stakeholder expectations through clear communication, planning, and delivery tracking Act as the primary point of contact for data-related priorities and outcomes Gather, document, and refine detailed data requirements Prioritize backlog items based on strategic value, impact, and available capacity Data Analysis & Product Ownership Analyze complex datasets to uncover insights and support data-driven decision-making Conduct source profiling and build advanced queries to extract and validate data Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, from intake through delivery and optimization Mentor and support junior product owners and analysts Promote best practices in data analysis, documentation, and product ownership Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to ensure scalable and sustainable data solutions Build dashboards and reports using Power BI Present insights and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders Must-Have Qualifications 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data product ownership, or closely related roles Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI for reporting and visualization Experience working with Azure Cloud Data Platform (ADLS, Databricks, PySpark preferred) Proven ability to manage data requirements, backlogs, and stakeholder priorities Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology , or a related field Nice to Have Experience supporting marketing or campaign analytics Background in large enterprise or regulated environments Experience mentoring or leading junior team members #J-18808-Ljbffr
