Structural civil engineer

Main tasks are as follows: Define engineering concepts required in tender process Participate in constructability reviews during initial engineering phase as well as during construction Ensure that client requirements are met Maintain and improve engineering tools that are used within company Participate in technical reviews with client Ensure that draftmen understand and assimilate technical requirements of design when drafting Complete design notes and initial drawings so as to define equipment to design (such as lifting structures, gates, embedded parts, hoists, etc.) with existing tools and based on previous projects by modifying existing concepts Prepare assembly, installation and testing procedures Prepare and follow engineering schedule On occasion, handle non-conformities in fabrication and initiate work modification requests as required On occasion, go on-site to perform inspections of work and resolve design issues. Prepare reports, maintenance manuals, operations manuals and training manuals.
