About the role: As a Senior Brand Designer with a focus on motion and storytelling , you will define how Durable moves, feels, and communicates across every touchpoint, from brand to product. You will use motion and video to make our product and brand feel alive, human, and compelling. You will work closely with brand, product, and marketing teams to create a cohesive visual narrative that connects our product experience with the broader Durable story. What You'll Do: Create and direct motion storytelling across brand and product, from feature launches and brand narratives to subtle UI animations. Develop Durable’s motion system, defining the principles, timing, and feel of animation across our ecosystem. Design and animate using Rive and After Effects, blending product animation and expressive brand motion into a unified visual language. Experiment with AI generative video and animation tools to prototype and produce new kinds of stories and visuals. Collaborate across disciplines, partnering with designers, marketers, and engineers to build consistent narratives across campaigns and in‑product moments. What you'll bring: Have 5+ years of experience in brand, motion, or product design. Are fluent in Rive and After Effects, with a portfolio showcasing strong motion systems, narrative storytelling, and refined animation craft. Love character animation and want to own and evolve our animated character system, bringing personality and life to the Durable brand. Are a visual storyteller who can craft emotion through pacing, timing, and movement. Have excellent taste and a pulse on visual culture. You know what’s current, what’s next, and how to make it feel distinctly Durable. Excited to integrate generative video practices and techniques into your work. Can move between quick, scrappy execution and pixel‑perfect detail with ease. Understand how brand and product design intersect, and how motion can unify them. Thrive in fast‑moving, collaborative environments, and love pushing the boundaries of what motion can do. Bonus Points: Experience directing or editing brand or product videos. Worked with engineers to ship Rive animation in product. Comfort collaborating with engineers to ship animations in production. Shipped videos with AI generative video tools such as Sora, Veo, Seeddance. A strong perspective on how motion and narrative shape the future of design in an AI‑driven world. Why Join Us? Compensation Base salary range is $150,000–200,000 CAD, plus equity. This range is relevant to candidates located in Vancouver, Canada. Actual compensation will be based on a combination of factors including location, experience, and skill level.
