Job Summary The Transfer Station Night Operations Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the day-to-day transfer station operations and monitors compliance to safety and other regulations. This role will supervise 10–12 full-time employees including heavy equipment operators, scale operators and a yard person. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervises the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of processes, procedures and programs to improve safety, productivity, and profitability of the transfer station. Supervises transfer station staff and coordinates workflow and assignments. Conducts recurring safety/compliance meetings. Reconciles facility revenue from operations, facility billing, and monthly P‑card statements. Processes employee payroll. Orders supplies as needed. Creates and submits weekly and month‑end reports to senior management. Oversees personnel needs of the department including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions. Occasional travel within GTA. Qualifications Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (accredited). 4 years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications Driver’s License with acceptable driving record. Previous experience leading/supervising a team in safety‑sensitive/industrial setting. Previous hands‑on heavy equipment experience considered an asset (but willing to train). Pay The expected base pay range for this position across Canada is $75,000 – $80,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for bonus.
