Role Summary:

As a Finance Specialist/Manager, you'll lead in managing financial operations, audits, payroll, and tax compliance. Key responsibilities include ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, regulatory adherence, and efficient fund management. Ideal candidates will have a finance or accounting background, expertise in financial software, and excellent English communication skills, contributing significantly to our financial integrity and operational efficiency.


Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Affairs: Take charge of the daily accounting operations and the preparation of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Financial Audit: Conduct thorough reviews of various financial transactions and documents to verify their authenticity, legality, and precision. This includes scrutinizing reimbursement claims from employees to ensure they adhere to the company’s policies.
  • Business Support: Offer expert financial process support to the business team, facilitating efficient communication and operational efficiency.
  • Fund Management: Oversee daily banking transactions, including payments, receipts, and account reconciliations, ensuring smooth financial operations.
  • Tax Matters: Manage the company’s tax filings and payments, guaranteeing compliance with legal requirements.
  • External Communication: Handle communication and coordination with external entities, such as tax authorities and banks, to maintain effective partnerships.
  • Audit Assistance: Provide support to auditors during the verification of accounts and financial statements, aiding in the accurate representation of the company's financial status.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the company’s financing activities are in strict accordance with U.S. accounting standards and regulations.
  • Annual Report: Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of the annual report, including registration and amendments.
  • Salary and Related Benefits Tax Processing: Manage the disbursement of salaries and the processing of related taxes for both Canadian and U.S. employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments in compliance with local laws and workplace norms.
  • Support for New Office/Branch Setup: Assist in the financial planning and setup of new offices or branches, including budgeting, resource allocation, and establishing financial operations to ensure a seamless expansion.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in finance, accounting, auditing, or related fields.
  • Professional Knowledge: A strong foundation in accounting, finance, and taxation with familiarity with U.S. accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Skills: Proficiency in financial and office software applications, such as QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Bilingual: Effective communication skills in English and Chinese
  • Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with above 3 years of relevant work experience related to the responsibilities mentioned above.
  • Personal Attributes: A strong team player with a high sense of responsibility and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Bilingual in Chinese and English
