Base pay range CA$110,000.00/yr - CA$140,000.00/yr Location Hybrid - Toronto, Canada Salary Range $110K - $140K Reports To CTO (Tristan), working alongside Director of Enterprise Implementation/Engineering (Kirk) Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Technical Product Manager to join our team at Thrive. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of solutions that align with Thrive's strategic objectives and customer needs. This role will require a blend of technical expertise and product management experience to drive innovation, scalability, and impactful product offerings. Key Responsibilities Product Manager for multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment between technical and business objectives. Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, adapting it to reflect changing business needs. Collaborate with the CTO and Engineering Manager to balance technical debt, maintenance, scalability, and evolving customer requirements. Collect and refine requirements based on customer needs, translating them into actionable product initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, marketing, and customer success) to deliver impactful product solutions. Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of products, from ideation through to launch and post-launch support. Ensure transparent and effective communication across stakeholders to maintain alignment and achieve shared goals. Contribute to the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with the needs of various customer personas. Evaluate options, vendors, and technologies alongside engineering teams, proposing solutions to address customer needs. Scope work across teams, providing estimates of effort and resource requirements for successful execution. Conduct feasibility assessments to determine the viability of proposals, including evaluating ROI and resource needs. Define and implement MVP solutions to incrementally move projects forward. Collaborate with the design team to bring product concepts to life. Business Problem the Technical Product Manager Will Solve This role will drive alignment between technical capabilities and market demands. By optimizing product performance and delivery, the Technical Product Manager will contribute directly to Thrive's mission of advancing careers and delivering impactful solutions to our customers. Ideal Candidate 5+ years of experience in a professional tech environment (preferred but not required). Ability to code, ideally in Ruby and/or JavaScript (preferred but not required). Experience in building and validating solutions or proofs of concept with minimal support. 1-2+ years of product management experience, ideally in technology-focused roles. Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Lean methodologies. Proficiency with product management tools such as Asana, Jira, and Trello. Technical background or familiarity with software development processes.
