Your role, your impact As a Corporate Controller reporting to the Vice-President, Corporate Reporting, you’ll be responsible for implementing the company’s financial and accounting information to ensure accounting integrity, accuracy and compliance. You’ll oversee Alithya’s financial activities and work in close collaboration with the financial planning and analysis team. Your day-to-day Manage the preparation of accurate and timely monthly/quarterly internal consolidated financial statements; Review controls and, in partnership with the internal controls team, enhance internal controls by implementing new controls and/or modifying existing controls; Ensure that adequate financial recording systems and processes are maintained in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), including IFRS 15 – Revenue from Contracts with Customers, regulatory requirements and company internal policies and procedures; Identify opportunities and participate in the continuous improvement and implementation of best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting using Oracle ERP and related systems; Work closely with the Director of Financial Reporting and Accounting Standards on all matters related to external reporting and external audits. Accounting Operations Management Oversee the shared-service team responsible for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing; Oversee the execution and improvement of client billing and collections; Collaborate with other departments to understand their needs and adapt financial processes as necessary based on business process changes. Team Leadership Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture; Provide guidance and support to ensure professional development and continuous improvement; Act as a key resource in resolving daily issues to ensure accounting and financial operations remain functional and efficient; Provide operational support for various information requests. Keys to your success Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA designation; Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting or equivalent experience in the accounting sector; Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in managing a financial or accounting department; Experience with process optimization and familiarity with Oracle ERP and Microsoft Office Suite; Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures; Excellent accounting software user and administration skills; Strong leadership and team management skills; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Strong attention to detail and accuracy; Ability to manage priorities while meeting deadlines; Excellent oral and written communication skills. Language Skills French: Proficient English: Proficient Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, a proficient level of English is required, in particular to communicate on a daily basis with employees and managers outside of Quebec.
