We are currently seeking a highly skilled Project Manager, Electrical Distribution Design for our Transmission & Distribution team. In this role, you will oversee electrical utility design projects, including overhead and underground distribution system improvements, upgrades, and new developments. You will lead and manage the execution of these projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. Familiarity with electrical and civil utility construction standards, as well as design practices, is essential. Your work will be critical in managing the full lifecycle of electrical utility planning and design within Ontario. This role will be based either in our Mississauga or Kitchener office. Job Responsibilities Manage engineering designs for electrical utility projects and lead the team of designers/engineers (up to 10 employees), handling budgets and ensuring deadlines are met. Organize multiple projects and portfolios, determine priorities, track progress, manage budgets and invoicing, and assess/mitigate risks. Clearly communicate design tasks with team members, contractors and clients, and facilitate collaboration between all stakeholders. Provide technical support utilizing knowledge on distribution design and processes, support the team on engaging design tools (AutoCAD, Microstation, SpidaCalc, PullPlanner, etc.), perform quality control on plans, calculations, specifications, standards and stamp drawings. Contribute to and maintain high client satisfaction and build long‑term relations ensuring best outcome for the project. Qualifications University Degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing electrical distribution system design teams and projects. In‑depth knowledge of Canadian regulations, codes, distribution construction standards, client requirements, contract documents and market trends. Strong knowledge of HONI, THESL and Alectra Distribution Standards is an asset. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of French is a plus. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Strong leadership and project management skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to short‑notice assignments and shifting client demands.
