For more information, visit About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to lead all supplier quality activities, focusing on Supplier Quality Management and Product Quality Support. You’ll be responsible for supplier development, qualification, and management— including on‑site audits, product inspection, control plan development, and production process evaluation and improvement. This role involves working with both new and existing suppliers to ensure quality excellence across our supply chain. What You’ll Do Drive supplier qualification processes for all existing and prospective Victaulic suppliers in‑country, working closely with Sourcing and cross‑functional teams in accordance with corporate procedures. You’ll qualify new suppliers, products, and production processes while maintaining our high‑quality standards. Support all elements of the supplier quality management system including first‑piece approvals, periodic production part inspections, product and process validations, control plan development and adherence, non‑conforming material containment, root cause analysis, and CAPA. Help suppliers understand and implement Victaulic product specifications, providing guidance and technical support as needed. Lead supplier corrective actions related to internal or external failures reported through SCAR and PCAR systems. For issues affecting product availability, you’ll lead team meetings to ensure clear communication of actions and status updates. Focus on supplier development by identifying opportunities based on health risk and benefit in collaboration with the Global Quality Assurance Engineering group. Development initiatives may include improved inspection processes, leveraging technology, mistake‑proofing, capacity improvements, and quality management enhancements. Perform trend analysis and establish ongoing supplier quality metrics to drive continuous improvement. Maintain regular communication with internal customers to ensure quality objectives are clearly identified and acted upon. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline (asset) Minimum 5 years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineering role with proven success in supplier qualification, management, correction, and development Experience managing supplier quality for cast, machined, fabricated and assembled components Strong knowledge of facility audits in accordance with standard QMS guidelines Strong understanding of Quality Engineering principles and techniques, including statistical analysis and related software ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or Certified Quality Engineer (asset) Proficiency in problem‑solving methodologies Proficiency with electronic systems and software (MS Office, Minitab, etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of measuring equipment Ability to make independent decisions without supervisory assistance Travel: 50% travel required Salary: $75k+ Equal Opportunity Employer Victaulic is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, welcoming applicants without discrimination based on age, race, colour, national origin, citizenship, religion, creed, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.
