Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description Customer & Supplier liaison dealing with Quality requirements Seamless interfacing within the organization & departments Preparing documents, presentations, studies, analysis reports, quality related documentation, technical support, problem resolution reports and work instructions Proficient knowledge of APQP process Creating CMM programs to qualify part conformance Performing correct use of measuring devices & systems Responsible for planning, coordinating and managing activities required for Quality activities Applies knowledge and experience of quality principles such as TQM, PDCA, FTQ, statistical data and trending analysis Traveling to customer and supplier sites Conducting supplier audits in accordance with IATF / VDA / CQI Supplier development and on-site support Other duties as assigned Job Qualifications Completed technical degree Commercial understanding Several years of professional experience in the technical field (preferably in the automotive sector) Proficient knowledge of APQP process Application knowledge of IATF16949 Knowledge of manufacturing processes and various quality procedures and methods (Automotive Core Tools / PFMEA / SPC / 8D-Process / CP / MSA / Gauge R&R / GD&T) IT skills (MS Office / SAP / MiniTab / IMDS) Structured way of working Ability to work cross-functionally with production, engineering, customers and suppliers Strong problem-solving mindset Benefits Opportunity to work from home once a week Comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance RRSP matching program Paid half-day off on your birthday Extra paid time off during the Christmas holiday season Disability, travel, critical illness, and life insurance Professional development with tailored training plans 24/7 employee suggestion program with gift card rewards Regular employee events and celebrations Service anniversary recognition Employee wellness initiatives Branded company merchandise AODA SHW welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
