Transport Refrigeration Mechanic – up to $44.49/hr & up to $4.93/hr pension Do you have an excellent attitude and experience working in automotive mechanics? Are you looking for a steady, permanent, day-time schedule with opportunity to grow? Our client in Coquitlam, BC is looking for hardworking, motivated Mechanics to join their team. What’s in it for you? Up to $44.49/hr & up to $4.93/hr pension (starting rate based on experience and certification level) Permanent, full-time role; day-time schedule (8 to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday) Unionized environment Excellent health and dental benefits, and pension plan Lucrative tool and safety boot allowance Opportunity to become a mobile mechanic with company vehicle and autonomous schedule. What will you be doing? Work on-site at the mechanic shop located in Coquitlam, B.C. during training period, with eventual transition to mobile technician servicing clients throughout Lower Mainland, B.C. Service, maintain and repair truck / trailer reefer units, air conditioning equipment, container refrigeration units and Gensets. Install Reefer units Ensure all work is completed to TKBC standards Deliver Exceptional Customer Service to clients Participate in the on call service rotation (Mobile technician) as required What do you bring to this role? Prior experience in automotive, heavy duty, or refrigeration transportation mechanics. Red Seal certification is an asset, but not required. Positive, Team Player attitude Ability to adapt and think quickly on feet. Knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC/air conditioning is preferred.
