This role contributes to the Ministry’s efforts to advance safe, fair and harmonious workplace practices for Ontarians. Responsibilities Provide secretarial and administrative services to the Alternate Chair and Vice‑Chairs of the Ontario Labour Relations Board. Prepare Board decisions and maintain Board decision data in the case management system. Required qualifications Mandatory Requirement: Fluency in English and superior oral and written French language skills. Proficiency will be confirmed before hire. Computer Skills: Proficiency with computer software to prepare standard legal decisions within strict timelines. Thorough understanding of the functions of, and ability to accurately enter and query data in case management systems. Communication Skills: Demonstrated written and oral communication skills with accuracy in decisions. Organizational Skills: Manage a diverse workload, establish priorities and meet deadlines. Work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision. Analytical, Judgement and Research Skills: Determine issues from brief instructions. Research quotes from arbitration cases, precedents and citations for correct inclusion in Board decisions. Other Skills: Familiarity with legal terminology.
