The Opportunity The Director of Youth Services is responsible for providing support to the Executive Director of Child and Family Services and the Child and Family Services programs by managing contracts, projects and activities that support the work of the department and vision of the agency. The main responsibilities are: Responsibilities In conjunction with the Executive Director of Child and Family Services and Executive Director of Health, assist in establishing a yearly budget which encompasses all expected expenses and projects any unforeseeable expenses that the program may incur. Directly manage the program staff in Youth Services (Burns Lakes, Prince George and Vanderhoof), Culture Camps, and any other program as assigned by the Executive Director of Child and Family Services and the Executive Director of Health. Monitor, evaluate and provide ongoing supervision and training for program staff as well as review service decisions and monitor staff compliance with legislation. Develop, design and submit proposals to funding agencies in consultation with the Executive Director of Child and Family Services and Executive Director of Health. Draft policies and procedures that directly affect program operations. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Child and Youth, Social Work, Social science or related field. Leadership experience in a complex health and social service organization. 5 years experience in a related leadership role.
