You will build and maintain automation frameworks, evaluate tools, lay down foundational building blocks for automation coverage, establish best practices, and collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver high quality products. Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated functional, integration, and E2E tests across our products utilizing open‑source test frameworks. Collaborate with engineering teams to build and enhance continuous integration environments. Perform database queries and manipulations for test data preparation and validation. Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, E2E, and performance testing. Contribute to the development of test data and model validations for machine learning features. Work closely with engineering, product management, and cross‑functional teams within an Agile environment using JIRA. Identify and track defects, usability improvements, and quality issues through proper documentation and collaboration. Participate in test planning and provide input on testability during feature design discussions. About You Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 5–7 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3–4 years focused on test automation using tools such as Appium, Espresso, Selenium, or similar frameworks. Familiarity with AI‑assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor) for test development. Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or pytest. Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with RESTful API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar. Working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ability to write SQL queries. Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD concepts. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams. Growth mindset – seeks and is receptive to actionable feedback and development opportunities. Preferred Qualifications Experience automating tests for Android applications, Web Applications & Services. Exposure to building or contributing to test automation frameworks. Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra). Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Buildkite. Experience using AI tools for test generation, data creation, and automation enhancement. Experience with AI/ML testing concepts and strategies, including validating ML model predictions, testing model behavior, and assessing data quality. Experience with containerization technologies (Docker). Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and microservices architectures. Understanding of performance and load testing principles. Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, or similar). Prior experience in a fast‑paced environment. Highly effective communication, both oral and written. Compensation & Benefits Remote role with a base pay range of $110,000–$123,000 CAD for Canadian candidates. Additional equity grants and benefits are offered. Flex First remote work policy applies.
