A Day In The Life The Senior Designer at lululemon creates world‑class athletic apparel recognized for leading innovation, design, function, fit, and quality. Working under the mentorship of the Design Manager and Design Director, you will develop the line from idea inception to production of garments, embedding intuitive innovation and balancing function and beauty. You are a technical expert and mentor for junior teammates, excel at presenting concepts and communicating seasonal direction and design to leadership, and use market knowledge, trend research, and cross‑functional collaboration to craft functional, innovative, and high‑quality designs. Responsible for designing and executing seasonal styles that embody lululemon’s Men’s Design ethos, managing both conceptual creation and administrative upkeep throughout the season. Combine active product use experience, market knowledge, trend research, and internal collaboration to create functional, innovative, high‑quality designs, with clear storytelling and construction understanding. Expert understanding of the male form and aptitude for draping, creating, and conceptualizing during the design process. Partner with ambassadors and athletes to continually elevate and innovate products. Allocate an assortment of styles within your category, collaborating with senior team members to develop solution‑oriented designs for guest needs. Fit styles to accurately convey design intent, partnering with in‑house workshop for mockups and prototypes. Collaborate cross‑functionally within the pod—product development, fit, merchandising, raw materials, colour, sourcing, and design operations—to ensure teams have the latest information. Maintain razor‑sharp attention to detail around product and processes, embedding style, beauty, and fashion where needed and finding balance in the product. Monitor line performance in stores, join key meetings for downloads, lead design meetings, partner with leaders to act on feedback, and foster continual innovation and mentorship. Qualifications 8–10 years of minimum industry experience. BA, BFA, or BS in Design required (or equivalent). Proficient in Adobe Illustrator. Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Excel, Word, and Mac platform. Understanding of 3D design is a benefit. Compensation And Benefits Package lululemon’s compensation offering is grounded in pay‑for‑performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $119,200 – $156,500 annually; base pay is based on location and may vary with job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
