The Director, Quality Assurance directs and coordinates all activities of the Quality Assurance and Disaster Planning programs across all divisions of Dynacare including the development and implementation of quality management policies and procedures to assure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Status: Permanent Full Time

How YOU Will Make a Difference

  • Act as a member of the management team, as well as provide support to cross-functional teams, developing, recommending and implementing short and long-term strategic plans for quality.
  • Lead quality assurance strategic, business and operational planning including budget and resource planning.
  • Establish quality goals and objectives, set priorities, and monitor performance against goals.
  • Lead development and implementation of quality management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report quality performance and concerns to the organization. Representing the voice of our patients and customers, pro-actively monitor and report quality performance metrics and escalate concerns prior to their potential impact.
  • Guide and facilitate efforts directed at the improvement of processes and examine new techniques in quality management to determine their applicability and means of adaptation for Dynacare.
  • Promote the development and adoption of a total quality culture within all Dynacare facilities through the delivery of training programs and the fostering of customer focus and employee involvement.
  • Liaise with other team members and staff to communicate information, resolve problems and identify organizational priorities.
  • Lead a large Quality Assurance team; team effectiveness, roles and responsibilities, goals setting and performance management.
  • Nurture a people centered care of safety first, quality for patients and customers, service, performance, innovation, adaptability, and consistency

What YOU Bring To The Role

  • Knowledge of internal quality assurance programs, audits and protocols
  • Knowledge of Laboratory Accreditation requirements and processes
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations, processes and continuous improvement methodologies
  • University Degree in Business, Engineering or Science
  • Capability of understanding the scientific and technical functions of the Operational departments
  • Project governance and project management with respect to the quality department
  • Strategic planning and goal setting skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Teams)
  • Capability to apply great attention to detail, and ability to effectively manage time and competing priorities
  • Capability to apply interpersonal skills and techniques to interact effectively with others at all levels within Dynacare
  • People and team leadership skills to engage staff and align efforts against priorities
  • Performance management skills

Pay rate: $121,600 to $152,000 annually
The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirements.
