Regional Vice President of Sales, Group Retirement Solutions

The Company – Our client, a nationally established, award winning group retirement savings and pension manager and provider, seeks a seasoned Group Retirement or Group Benefits sales professional to join their high growth company in the capacity of Regional Vice President of Western Canada. This is a hybrid role with offers excellent base salary, generous commission, group benefits and pension.

The Role – In this lynch-pin role, based in British Columbia, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within the group retirement savings and group health benefits distribution channels for western Canada.

Duties Include:

“Wholesaling” the company’s’ Group Retirement Savings offerings to group retirement, group benefit consulting firms and advisors throughout western Canada

Establish and maintain productive working relationships with the various distribution networks (group retirement/pension advisors, group benefit consultants, MGA’s)

Coordinate wholesaling efforts with internal sales support to maximize territory coverage and effectiveness

Conduct presentations to brokers, consultants, and advisors

Ability to discuss pension industry trends with consultants, brokers, and advisors

Participate in RFP and finalist presentations as required

Remain current on industry trends, legislation, and product and technical knowledge Contributing to the distribution strategy for western Canada

The Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years Group Retirement Savings or Group Benefit wholesaling experience

Strong relationships within the group retirement/group benefits/MGA community

Proven track record of sales success within those distribution channels

In-depth knowledge of Group RSP, DPSP, CAP

Strong knowledge of key competitors with the ability to highlight competitive advantages without “negative selling”

Superior territory management skills

Superior communication, presentation, and time management skills

The ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, unsupervised environment
