NTT DATA seeks an Application Software Architect to lead the migration of legacy benefit programs to the new Individual Grants and Contributions System (IGCS). The role focuses on technical design, deployment, implementation, and performance testing while ensuring compliance with WCAG and modern architecture principles. Tasks & Responsibilities Develop technical architecture, frameworks and strategies to meet business and application requirements. Identify policies and requirements that drive specific solutions. Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems. Ensure integration of all technology solutions. Evaluate hardware and software to support requirements, identify bottlenecks, and recommend performance improvements. Review system and data requirements, determine operating systems and languages needed. Lead design and execution of complex code implementations, following best practices such as version control, code reviews, and documentation. Oversee migration of legacy systems to modern architectures. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet program specifications. Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout implementation. Facilitate creation of development standards and practices for maintainability, scalability, and testability. Implement automated testing frameworks and CI/CD processes. Establish performance metrics and monitoring tools in production. Mentor and develop team members through training sessions and code walk‑throughs. Conduct knowledge transfer and coaching of team members. Mandatory Qualifications 5+ years of recent experience as an Application/Software Architect or similar. 2+ years of experience with APIs and WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). Current valid Reliability Security Clearance and prior Federal Government experience. University Degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field. Deliverables Documented architectures and frameworks for API integration. Comprehensive documentation for API calls and integration processes in IGCS. Performance evaluation report on new APIs handling expected data loads. Review of existing architecture and proposal for future enhancements. Technical documentation and oversight for complex code implementations. Documentation on collaboration results and training sessions. NTT DATA is an equal opportunity employer.
