Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Intermediate/Senior Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Capital Market domain, specifically working on Front Office Trading projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working directly with traders and leading larger project initiatives as a Lead BA.



Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with traders on Front Office Trading projects within the Capital Markets space.
  • Lead business analysis efforts on large-scale projects.
  • Develop and optimize business process flows.
  • Utilize technology systems such as Apex for repo trading and Finance Pro for financial processes.
  • Leverage Bloomberg terminal for accessing market data.
  • Conduct SQL queries and extract relevant data to support business decisions.
  • Create detailed documentation using Visio to map out business processes.



Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in the Capital Markets industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working with front office traders is essential.
  • Previous role as Lead BA on significant projects is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using Apex repo trading application; familiarity with Fixed Income Repos, Triparty Repo, Sponsored Repo preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about Canadian, US, UK Repo markets including trade lifecycle understanding.



Preferred Skills

  • Application: Apex repo trading
  • Product knowledge: Fixed Income Repos, Triparty Repo, Sponsored Repo
  • Understanding of Canadian / US / UK Repo markets Candidates with Anvil app experience are also encouraged to apply.



Technical Skills:

  • System usage: Apex (a FIS product)
  • Trading applications related to REPO products
  • Understanding underlying instruments such as bond repo or equity repo
  • Finance Pro (FinPro) application usage
  • Utilizing Bloomberg for market data
  • SQL (queries, extracting data)
  • Visio (documenting flows)
  • Testing experience
