Role Overview The Senior Estimator will lead estimating activities for large-scale projects ranging from $25M to $100M in value. This position requires a detail-oriented leader with extensive experience preparing comprehensive cost estimates, managing bid processes, and collaborating closely with project teams to support successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and retail construction projects within the $25M–$100M range. Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope and establish cost drivers and risk factors. Develop and oversee bid packages, including solicitation of subcontractor and vendor proposals, scope reviews, and cost analysis. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to integrate cost control measures and value engineering throughout the preconstruction phase. Manage estimating teams, mentoring junior estimators and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of estimates. Present cost proposals and analysis to senior management and clients, providing insights and recommendations to inform decision-making. Stay current on construction industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and innovative estimating tools. Required Qualifications 10+ years’ experience in construction estimating with a proven record of managing projects sized between $25M and $100M. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques in commercial, industrial, and retail sectors. Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate across disciplines. Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software and advanced computer skills. A degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
