Food Preparation:
Chop, slice, and prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, and sauces.Measure and portion food items according to recipes.Assist in making sauces, dressings, and marinades.Cooking:
Cook dishes on the line during service, following recipes and plating standards.Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and stovetops.Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature and presentation.Kitchen Organization:
Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including countertops, cutting boards, and equipment.Stock and organize stations with prepared ingredients and supplies.Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages.Food Safety:
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure food quality and safety.Properly label and store food items to prevent spoilage.Dispose of expired or improperly stored food items.Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely food delivery.Assist with dishwashing and cleanup as needed.Qualifications:Previous experience as a Line/Prep Cook or in a similar role.Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques.Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Skills:Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Attention to detail and commitment to quality.Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and work in a hot environment.
