Job Title: Principal Engineer - AI-Assisted Cloud Migration

Description:

Location: Remote role

About the Role

Lead the technical implementation of our agentic AI framework for migrating complex PCF-based eCommerce platforms to AKS. This hands-on role requires deep technical expertise and proven experience solving complex migration challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop core components of the AI-assisted migration framework
  • Implement agent training methodologies for PCF-to-AKS transformation patterns
  • Create technical solutions for complex build processes and CI/CD pipeline decoupling
  • Design and implement backing service (Redis, RabbitMQ, databases) migration strategies
  • Lead the engineering team in implementing the agent-based architecture
  • Establish technical validation frameworks for migration success

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems
  • Deep expertise in PCF internals and Kubernetes/AKS architecture
  • Strong experience with containerization and CI/CD pipeline engineering
  • Hands-on development experience with AI/ML systems
  • Proven track record migrating complex enterprise applications
  • Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, and database service integration patterns
  • Strong programming skills in languages relevant to infrastructure automation

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale automated migration frameworks
  • Background in eCommerce platform engineering
  • Understanding of graph-based dependency analysis
  • Experience with reinforcement learning for system automation
  • Azure and Kubernetes certifications

Success Metrics

  • Implementation of production-ready agent components
  • Demonstrated automation of complex migration patterns
  • Reduction in manual migration effort for "red" complexity applications
  • Successful preservation of transaction integrity post-migration.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $120,000 – $130,000 USD annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
