How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn Work with product line managers to gather requirements and collaborate with team members to design efficient data‑path software that meets those requirements. Read RFCs and IETF drafts to understand packet‑forwarding technologies. Design and develop IP/MPLS/ETHERNET packet‑processing software for high‑performance packet forwarding in routers and switches. Develop, integrate, and unit‑test software features for Nokia’s service router OS. Work with QA engineers to troubleshoot complex problems and perform root‑cause analysis. Collaborate with other functional teams within the same product group. Key Skills And Experience Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer/software engineering, computer science, or equivalent. 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in the networking industry. Comfortable reading RFCs and IETF drafts to understand packet‑forwarding technologies. Experience with Linux kernel modules, device drivers, NICs, DPDK, and DPAA2 technologies. Understanding of CPU architectural weaknesses and how to avoid them in software design. Programming languages: C, C++, Python, Bash, and other scripting languages. Experience in embedded development. Demonstrated track record of excellence. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. No visa or relocation assistance provided for this position at this time.
