Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience, or Master’s and 3+ years, or PhD and 1+ year experience in Computer Science, Software Development, or technical equivalent. Experience writing software in C/C++. Experience with real‑time OS (e.g., VxWorks, Cisco IOS, Linux). Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and network synchronization. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of network security protocols (IEEE 802.1x, IPSec, etc.). Good understanding of bridging and routing fundamentals; working knowledge of unicast for both bridging and routing cases; familiarity with campus or enterprise network deployment architectures. Hands‑on experience in development of L2 or L3 control‑plane protocols such as STP/RSTP, UDLD, IGMP, RIP/OSPF/BGP/ISIS, BFD.
