Overview Short term contract: 4 months. Calgary ab. We currently require a team member primarily focused onyear-end payroll activities, and complemented by other cyclical payroll activities, to contribute to our Pay, Policy and Benefits team.

Responsibilities

Support all year-end payroll actions and deliverables including; Reconciling payroll records, Validating employee information, reviewing benefit & pension deductions & T4s. Assist in payroll-related actions including new hires, transfers, and salary changes. Ensure payroll compliance and accuracy when assisting with payroll cycle within required deadlines, which includes, but is not limited to, reviewing and completing pay related adjustments, processing records of employments and completing requested reporting. Assist with investigating and responding to a variety of payroll related queries from employees.

Show flexibility to support other pay, policy and, benefits areas as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of work experience – previous experience in payroll administration with over 300 employees that include an hourly shift work force is a must Robust knowledge of UKGHR systems is considered an asset Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) certifications are considered an asset National Payroll Institute membership Mastery of Excel that include using pivot data, data validation and v-look up Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Outstanding teamwork skills, working in regular, close partnership with HR and business colleagues Experience with third party benefits and pension providers Knowledge of employment standards in British Columbia and Alberta is considered an asset About NES Fircroft With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining andManufacturingsectors worldwide.
