Job SummaryNow, if you were to come on board as our Sr. Director, Supply Chain, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Develop a strong understanding of the commercial and operational needs of the business
- Support and enforce safe supply chain ideology
- Drive the implementation of inventory tracking system across all branches, working in conjunction with the appropriate CGC support departments
- Create and develop project and action plans to source appropriate products to satisfy business needs
- Develop processes to minimize shrinkage, spoilage and waste
- Develop program to bring each branch to a 2 week rolling inventory plan
- Train Warehouse managers to right ordering behaviours
- Reviewing long-term stock outs to implement a permanent solution instead of leaving it to the branch to manually swap
- Work with the sectors, analysts, and other internal stakeholders to proactively manage day-to-day processes and develop strategies for improvement
- Proactively connect and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Steward commercial process to drive compliance and accountability
- Identify process and commercial revenue and/or improvement opportunities to positively impact the business P&L
- Resolve issues and opportunities that have been escalated
- Facilitate and/or coordinate applicable process training
Think you have what it takes to be our Sr. Director, Supply Chain? We’re committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here’s how we’ll know you will be successful:
- Post-secondary education, degree or diploma, in a business-related field
- Supply Chain designation or equivalent preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in Excel
- 3 years’ experience in operations required; 2 years supply chain/procurement experience preferred
- Strong project and change management experience
- Analytical and logical thinking ability as well as proven time management skills
- Ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders at various levels of the organization
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset
