Network Operations Engineer

Location: Montreal QC (hybrid/3 days a week)


Overview:

We are looking for a Network Engineer to support our banking client in Montreal location.


Resposibilities:

  • Perform deployment and operations of network infrastructure primarily related to new connectivity of a DC, Branches/Campus, and expansion of existing infrastructure.
  • Ability to turn up the new sites or PODs and be able to integrate with the global WAN and help troubleshoot the network issues.
  • Enabling and troubleshooting issues with routing protocols and VRF.
  • Point of escalation for production outages related to day-to-day operations or any project driven initiatives. An excellent knowledge of data networking principles.


Requirements:

You are:

  • Experience with routers/switches.
  • Experience working with hardware vendors, such as Cisco, Arista, etc.
  • Experience with routing protocols such as BGP/OSPF and VRF's. concepts of underlay and overlay network. Ability to analyze packet capture is a plus.
  • An excellent knowledge of the specific technologies to manage and support high-speed networks. Expert-level ability to decode packet captures and identify network and application issues using Wireshark. Hardware: Cisco Switches and Routers, Jupiter

Responsabilités :

  • Effectuer le déploiement et les opérations de l'infrastructure réseau, principalement en relation avec la nouvelle connectivité d'un data center (DC), des branches/campus et l'expansion de l'infrastructure existante. Capacité à mettre en service de nouveaux sites ou PODs et à les intégrer au WAN global et à aider à résoudre les problèmes de réseau.
  • Activation et dépannage des problèmes liés aux protocoles de routage et aux VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding).
  • Point d'escalade pour les interruptions de production liées aux opérations quotidiennes ou à toute initiative portée par des projets. Excellente connaissance des principes de réseau de données. Expérience avec les routeurs/commutateurs.


Exigences :

Vous êtes :

  • Expérience de travail avec des fournisseurs de matériel, tels que Cisco, Arista, etc. Expérience des protocoles de routage tels que BGP/OSPF et des concepts de réseau sous-jacent (underlay) et superposé (overlay).
  • La capacité d'analyser les captures de paquets est un plus.
  • Excellente connaissance des technologies spécifiques pour gérer et soutenir des réseaux à haute vitesse. Capacité au niveau expert à décoder les captures de paquets et à identifier les problèmes de réseau et d'application à l'aide de Wireshark.
  • Matériel : Commutateurs et Routeurs Cisco, Jupiter.
