Position Title: Primary Care Nurse Practice Consultant Salary: $102,490 – $125,736 per year Contract: Permanent Hours: 8:30–4:30 Mon‑Fri (core 9:00–3:00 Mon‑Fri) Location: Vancouver Island – Ladysmith/Oyster Bay office Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada) About the Role The Primary Care Nurse Practice Consultant will provide education, thought leadership, and consultation on transformative models of team‑based primary health care and clinical practice services. Responsibilities include orientation, training, in‑service, clinical support, and competency assessment for Registered Nurses who deliver primary care to First Nations communities and individuals in British Columbia. What We Offer Education Allowance: Up to $3,850 Health Spending Account: $1,100 Extensive Health and Dental Benefits (day 1) Robust Pension Plan About You Education Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a recognized university Certified Remote Practice Certification (asset) Experience Five years of primary care nursing providing clinical practice support and education to nurses, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience. Experience delivering community, public, or home health nursing programs. Experience delivering health services in a First Nations setting. Registration & Certification Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Basic Life Support Certification Level C.
