Business Architect The Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP), Species at Risk Branch (SARB), is seeking a Business Architect to support the transition from the Endangered Species Act, 2007 (ESA) to the new Species Conservation Act, 2025 (SCA), introduced under Bill 5 – Protect Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy Act, 2025. Pay Range Base pay: CA$35.00/hr – CA$45.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience; discuss with recruiter). CANDIDATES MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN CANADA / HOLD A VALID WORK VISA. CCI DOES NOT SPONSOR WORK VISAS. Mandatory Skills & Experience 3+ years of experience in a Business Architect role Proven experience creating and delivering Business Architecture deliverables (e.g., BAD) Strong experience working with Architecture Governance checkpoints (Points 1, 2 & 3) Experience collaborating with Cluster / Corporate Architecture Review teams Ability to analyze legislation, policy, and organizational structures and translate them into architecture artifacts Nice to Have Skills Experience working in Government or Public Sector environments Familiarity with regulatory or legislation‑driven programs Key Responsibilities Update the existing Business Architecture Document (BAD) to align with Species Conservation Act (SCA) 2025 Prepare and deliver Architecture Governance Point 1, 2, and 3 documentation Research and incorporate new SCA requirements and MECP organizational structure into the BAD Address and resolve architecture review logs in collaboration with Cluster Architecture teams Finalize and deliver an approved BAD aligned to SCA 2025 Stakeholder & Communication Responsibilities Develop presentations, diagrams, and models to communicate architecture concepts Advise business stakeholders, managers, and executives Plan and lead cross‑functional meetings and working sessions Knowledge Transfer Requirements Ongoing knowledge transfer through regular meetings and working sessions Transfer all artifacts, designs, and documentation to ministry repositories Participate in formal knowledge transfer sessions during project close‑out Evaluation Criteria Business Architecture expertise – 50% Stakeholder communication – 40% Public sector experience – 10% Employment Details Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Information Technology Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
