Job Description As a Business Development Representative Manager at Vention, you’ll lead, coach, and scale our BDR team, enabling the Sales and Growth functions to expand pipeline and accelerate bookings. You’ll set team objectives, define performance frameworks, and lead the execution of best‑in‑class processes that convert prospects into qualified opportunities. You’ll be a key leader driving growth strategy, collaborating cross‑functionally, and scaling our go‑to‑market engine. What you’ll do Drive the drumbeat – create daily and weekly objectives, keep the team accountable to hit metrics Train other BDRs to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities Execute and champion the sales strategy to achieve sales goals, increase sales productivity and reach key performance indicators Listen to sales calls, ensure cadence steps are respected, lead morning stand‑up meetings, and join client calls to help close more complex deals Build call scripts, cadences, and email templates Improve BDR performance over time by providing coaching and feedback in recurring weekly 1:1s Plan for hiring and onboarding new BDRs Work closely with cross‑functional teams on field events, targeted ads and nurture campaigns Collaborate with Sales and other leaders to improve opportunity management and qualification processes Provide structured feedback to Growth and Marketing on lead quality, messaging effectiveness, and campaign impact Report weekly and monthly on BDR performance, pipeline contribution, and conversion rates across the funnel Collaborate with RevOps to ensure CRM data integrity and consistency in reporting Work with Content and Product Marketing to develop effective messaging for outbound communications to your team’s assigned accounts Help team members with their career planning and development, ensuring they realize their full potential in sales at Vention Qualifications 3+ years of managing sales/business development teams with a track record of high performance 8+ years of experience in technology‑based sales/business development environments Bachelor’s degree in a related field Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in French an asset Experience working with Salesforce and other sales productivity and reporting tools Strong background in developing and measuring sales metrics, KPIs, and targets What We Offer Career pathing: personalized development plans, bi‑annual employee reviews, and mentorship program Professional development: continuous training in performance management, inclusive leadership, team building, and giving/receiving feedback Gender diversity & inclusion: pay equity reviews, inclusive policies, and a Women’s Employee Resource Group offering networking, mentorship, and quarterly learning sessions Hybrid work: flexibility with our hybrid model, allowing you to work from home on selected days Community engagement: two paid volunteering days per year to give back to causes you care about Central location: regular team gatherings and a collaborative office space in the heart of Montreal, surrounded by cafés and restaurants Team events: all‑year employee events including annual kick‑off, employee summit, quarterly happy hours, and department events Comprehensive benefits: a complete group benefits plan that starts day one What to Expect in Your Interview Initial Call Meet the Team Case or take‑home interview Decision & Offer We’re committed to making every step of the process inclusive and accessible.
