Procurement Manager Recruitment Partners Inc. is an Alberta-based recruitment firm dedicated to building long-term relationships. Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Procurement Manager to lead the procurement function and drive operational excellence across the organization. This role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, overseeing contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support business needs while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery timelines. Key Responsibilities Create and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals Conduct market analysis to identify supplier opportunities and trends Manage procurement budgets to ensure cost‑efficiency and quality Oversee contracts and ensure compliance with legal and policy standards Manage the full procurement lifecycle — from requisition to delivery Optimize procurement processes for efficiency and compliance Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings and supplier performance Mitigate supply chain risks and maintain contingency plans Collaborate across departments to align procurement with project needs Mentor and guide a team of unionized staff to deliver exceptional procurement services Foster a collaborative, client‑focused culture Set performance goals and conduct regular reviews to drive accountability and growth Provide training and support career development Champion a positive and inclusive workplace aligned with organizational values Qualifications A bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, facility maintenance, consulting, or construction Specialized knowledge of public sector procurement, contract law, and project delivery methods Familiarity with trade agreements and procurement technologies Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Ethical and transparent approach to procurement practices Ability to lead teams, manage performance, and support professional development Adaptability to changing market conditions and organizational priorities If you are interested in this role and meet the above criteria, please click the Apply button to send your resume directly to Jason Dick, Andre Donado, Bobi‑Jo Warner or Dalia Hassan. #J-18808-Ljbffr
