About the Role We have partnered with a respected General Contractor that is seeking an experienced Senior Site Superintendent to lead all on-site construction activities for a large-scale, ground-up new build project. This role is responsible for managing field operations from project mobilization through completion, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are met. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who thrives in complex construction environments, has extensive experience coordinating large project teams, and demonstrates exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, trades, site staff, and suppliers. Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental programs in full compliance with company and regulatory standards. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved. Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to identify conflicts or discrepancies and proactively resolve issues. Work closely with the Project Manager to track progress, manage costs, and forecast manpower and material needs. Lead and participate in regular site meetings with project stakeholders, including owners, consultants, and subcontractors. Ensure quality control processes are followed, including inspections, testing, and documentation. Manage site logistics, sequencing, and coordination for optimal workflow. Mentor and support junior superintendents, foremen, and site staff to foster a strong, collaborative team environment. Drive a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement across all site operations. Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of progressive experience in construction supervision, including 5+ years as a Site Superintendent on large-scale new build projects ($30M+). Proven track record managing complex commercial, institutional, or mixed-use developments from ground-breaking to handover. Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, building codes, and trade coordination. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, MS Project, etc.) and digital reporting tools. Ability to interpret drawings, contracts, and specifications with a high level of technical competence. Valid safety certifications (e.g., OSHA/WHMIS, First Aid, Working at Heights). Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical diploma/degree preferred. Whats on Offer Work with a respected and collaborative construction team.
