The BI Analyst will acquire and analyze data from various sources, understand key performance indicators (KPI) and how they are used for business and analysis purposes, support the development of dashboards and interactive reporting tools, and provide data-driven, actionable recommendations. The BI Analyst will: Conduct data cleaning, transformation, exploration, analysis, and visualization. Work with spreadsheets and databases, including using programming languages such as R or Python to extract, transform and load data from multiple sources. Provide quality assurance of all data and BI outputs. Respond to ad-hoc data and reporting requests. Translate data into insights and recommendations. Collaborate with business and clinical teams to understand their data needs and requirements. Define and recommend metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support department/program goals; identify industry benchmarks and trends. Provide recommendations on industry best practices in BI and innovative BI software/tools. Support the development of interactive dashboards, Geographic Information System (GIS) maps, reports, and data visualizations for monitoring performance and quality across the organization. Train other team members to support the use of data analytics tools. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge and/or experience in data analytics. Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau. Ability to analyze, understand, and interpret business requirements. Ability to communicate and collaborate with teams/individuals in a wide variety of areas and at various levels of the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered Conditions of Employment A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Intervention Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate. Working Conditions This position is based out of the CASA Downtown office. Some travel to other CASA sites may be required.
