Director, Product – Quantum Technologies Department: Product Management Employment Type: Full Time Location: British Columbia, Canada Compensation: The base annual salary range for this full-time role is between $162,000 to $222,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salary across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside of this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to a candidate's qualifications including relevant education and training, competencies, experience, geographic location, and business needs. Base pay is only one part of the total compensation package. Full time roles are eligible for equity and benefits. Base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Description As the Director, Product – Quantum Technologies , you will lead the strategy, roadmap, and customer delivery of Photonic’s quantum computing products. This role is pivotal in building product management discipline, translating current and future quantum technology into commercially viable solutions, driving customer engagement and satisfaction, and ultimately product-market fit across the broad array of sectors to be impacted by large scale distributed quantum technologies. The role requires a strategic thinker, a builder and a storyteller who can thrive in uncertainty, wear multiple hats, and inspire confidence across technical and non-technical audiences. You will collaborate with engineering, marketing, business development, and executive leadership to define and deliver products that leverage Photonic’s Entanglement First™ architecture and silicon spin qubit platform. WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO Product Strategy & Leadership Define and evolve the product roadmap for our quantum computing systems, maximizing customer experience and aligning with corporate objectives and market opportunities. Establish product management practices, processes, and frameworks suite to a R&D-driven environment. Lead product lifecycle management from concept through commercialization, including release planning, customer communications, and milestone tracking. Customer & Ecosystem Engagement Represent Photonic’s product portfolio externally, engaging with customers, partners, and the broader quantum ecosystem. Own and grow relationships with key high-value clients and act as the main strategic liaison between the company and key customers and stakeholders. Support business development and sales enablement through technical presentations and product collateral. Translate quantum technology capabilities (e.g., fault-tolerant architectures, error correction, photonic integration, algorithms) into customer value propositions. Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform product positioning, set and report upon key product metrics, and identify emerging trends. Cross-Functional Alignment Partner with engineering and architecture teams to define product requirements and ensure feasibility. Partner with CEO, CQO/CTO, and CFO to shape go-to-market strategy and investor narratives. Collaborate with marketing to develop compelling messaging, content, and go-to-market strategies. Team Building and Leadership Build and mentor an early product management function and scale as company grows. Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and clarity within a highly technical and fast-moving environment. Represent product leadership in strategic meetings, investor discussions, and partner/customers negotiations. Execution & Delivery Plan, set & communicate clear, ambitious and achievable product metrics to the architecture and engineering teams to maximize customer satisfaction. Translate and showcase technical results in all product lines to customers. Track account performance metrics and identify risks to client satisfaction. Based upon customer feedback and market signals, coordinate the balance of short-term and long-lead development dependencies with architecture and engineering teams to optimize the detailed product roadmap. WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM 10+ years in product leadership roles, ideally in quantum computing, supercomputing, enterprise software, or advanced hardware systems. Proven track record of bridging technical and commercial worlds and a comfort working with scientists, engineers, and executives. Experience in launching complex technical products in emerging markets. Exceptional storytelling, communication, and relationship-management skills Expert familiarity with product planning, key account management, and business development workflows. Possess an entrepreneurial mindset thriving in ambiguity, adapting quickly and creating structure to accelerate. An exceptional candidate will bring: Strong understanding of quantum technologies, including fault tolerance, photonic integration, and quantum networking.
