We are looking for an exceptionally versatile, strategic, and results‑driven Chief of Staff to the Chief Operating Officer. This operational leadership role is ideal for a people‑focused, “jack‑of‑all‑trades” who excels at driving execution, solving complex problems, building relationships, and improving organizational performance. You thrive in ambiguity, see problems as opportunities for innovative solutions, and possess an unmatched work ethic. Your superpower is bringing order and focus to complex, moving targets. In the first 10–12 months you will serve as the interim Director of People & Culture, providing essential functional coverage during a planned leave of absence. After this period, the role will transition to a dedicated focus on core cross‑functional and operational responsibilities. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Serve as the interim Director of People & Culture, leading and managing the P&C team to ensure business continuity across all core functions. Partner with the COO and leadership team to ensure key P&C initiatives and annual cycles (performance management, compensation review, etc.) are executed seamlessly. Act as the leadership team’s primary point of contact for complex employee relations matters and ensure ongoing compliance with federal and provincial employment laws. Lead high‑impact, cross‑functional projects from inception to completion, focusing on operational improvements, efficiency gains, productivity, and scalability. Act as a strategic extension of the COO, ensuring organizational focus and accountability on key operational priorities. Proactively identify and diagnose organizational and process gaps, designing and leading initiatives to address them. Provide direct, hands‑on support to the COO and the executive team by removing roadblocks and maintaining organizational momentum. Anticipate business needs and proactively align resources to address them. Required Skills 6+ years of exceptional experience in operational leadership roles within high‑growth environments. Proven operational and management experience with strong knowledge or functional experience in People Operations, Operations, or Strategy. Strong people acumen, high emotional intelligence, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Versatile with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to get hands‑dirty. Exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage complex, cross‑functional initiatives. A bias for action and a relentless focus on tangible results.
