Overview Avanciers is a premier IT Staffing/Consulting organization and we are currently recruiting for a contract role for one of our premier client in Canada for Senior Workday HCM Solution Architect (Strategic Lead). This is an Onsite/Hybrid role and client is actively hiring for this position. Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Workday HCM Solution Architect who functions as a dual-threat: a strategic advisor to executive leadership and a deep-dive technical expert. You will be responsible for the end-to-end integrity of our Workday ecosystem, ensuring that global HR strategies are translated into scalable, high-performing technical configurations. Location : Remote Employment Type : Contract Duration : 6 – 10 Months Rate : $100/hr - $120/hr Key Responsibilities Executive Advisory: Serve as the primary liaison between HR Leadership, IT, and Finance. Communicate complex technical roadmaps, risks, and ROI to stakeholders. System Architecture: Design and oversee the global blueprint for Workday HCM, including Core HR, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, and Benefits. Deep-Dive Problem Solving: Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex configuration issues that standard functional analysts cannot resolve. Roadmap Governance: Evaluate semi-annual Workday releases. Conduct impact assessments and advise leadership on which new features to adopt to drive business value. Optimization & Scale: Audit existing configurations to eliminate technical debt, streamline Business Processes (BPs), and ensure data integrity across global regions. Security & Compliance: Maintain a robust security model (Domain and Business Process Security Policies) that meets global audit and privacy standards (GDPR, SOC2). Required Qualifications Experience: 10+ years in HRIS/HR Technology, with at least 7+ years of dedicated Workday Architecture experience. Leadership: Proven track record of presenting to CHROs, CTOs, or Boards of Directors. Technical Breadth: Expert-level knowledge of Core HCM, Advanced Comp, and Security. Proficiency in Prism, Adaptive, or Extend is a significant plus. Implementation History: Must have led at least two full-lifecycle global Workday implementations or major phase-X optimizations. Certifications: Current or former Workday Pro or Partner certifications are highly preferred. Analytical Mindset: Ability to translate "business speak" into "Boolean logic" and vice versa.
