Family law litigation skills meet complex financial disputes at DJO Family Law in downtown Vancouver, with full-time courtroom-focused work.
This associate lawyer position suits someone building or continuing a long-term family law litigation practice. You will handle matters involving support, property division, valuations, parenting disputes, and tax-related issues. The firm also considers lawyers from other litigation backgrounds with strong advocacy skills and family law interest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage family law litigation files from intake through resolution
- Draft pleadings, applications, affidavits, and written submissions
- Analyze income, support, valuations, and property division issues
- Conduct examinations for discovery and attend mediations
- Appear in court and prepare trial materials
Requirements:
- At least three years called to the bar ideally
- Member in good standing with Law Society of British Columbia
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
Develop meaningful responsibility through family law advocacy, financial analysis, client work, and courtroom experience at DJO Family Law.
