About the Role
We are seeking an Analyst, Application Portfolio & Governance to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and providing recommendations on the organization’s application portfolio.
This role involves analyzing the performance, cost, and value of applications, ensuring alignment with business goals, and recommending improvements or retirement of applications as necessary.
As the Newest Member of our Team, You’ll
- Conduct regular assessments of the application portfolio to identify any redundancies, inefficiencies, and opportunities for consolidation.
- Assist in the governance of the application portfolio, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate across business units to understand various application needs and ensure the portfolio supports strategic objectives.
- Work with the Information Technology and Finance teams to develop and maintain the application inventory, as well as track application costs and budget allocations.
- Analyze application performance metrics, costs, and user feedback to recommend enhancements, optimization opportunities, or decommissioning.
- Prepare and present reports on application portfolio status and recommendations to senior management.
- Support organizational initiatives by positively influencing and advancing change management and enterprise initiatives within assigned areas of responsibility.
To Succeed, You Bring
- Post-secondary education in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in application portfolio management, IT asset management, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
- Knowledge of application lifecycle management and IT governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to influence change.
- A self-starter with strong prioritization and attention to detail.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and cloud-based services is considered an asset.
- Experience with enterprise architecture tools such as Ardoq, Orbus iServer, Avolution ABACUS, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or BizzDesign would be considered an asset.
The target hiring salary for this position is $63,700.00-$74,900.00. Placement within our salary range will be based on factors such as internal equity, market conditions, and the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
