Salary: CAD90000 - CAD100000 per annum
We are seeking a detail-oriented payroll professional to oversee our multi-regional payroll tax functions and manage our enterprise payroll software. In this role, you will guarantee total regulatory alignment, manage complex deductions, and lead data reconciliation efforts across all corporate jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain full legal complianceby overseeing the precise calculation, reporting, and settlement of all federal, state, provincial, and municipal payroll obligations.
Track evolving fiscal legislationand statutory updates to proactively modify corporate payroll systems and eliminate compliance risks.
Manage agency auditsby compiling comprehensive defense files, organizing internal ledgers, and serving as the primary point of contact for government investigators.
Secure timely submittalsfor all standard quarterly and year-end statutory declarations to safeguard the organization against late fees.
Partner with external consultantsand corporate accounting departments to streamline complex fiscal year-end close procedures.
Balance tax ledgersby continuously auditing regional liabilities against physical bank drafts and corporate ledger entries.
Administer the enterprise HCM payroll engine, configuring advanced modules dedicated to statutory withholdings and involuntary deductions
Execute routine data validationsto ensure the absolute integrity of worker demographic profiles, tax jurisdictions, and court-ordered withholding parameters.
Publish corporate data packagesdetailing gross-to-net summaries, withholding metrics, and benefit deduction schemas.
Rectify payroll anomaliesthrough rigorous forensic data matching, executing immediate manual adjustments when necessary.
Synthesize fiscal close summariesat the conclusion of every month, quarter, and fiscal year for executive review and corporate archives.
Unify interdepartmental metricsby aligning payroll sub-ledgers with general ledger (GL) frameworks and internal control standards.
Deliver operational insightsto leadership teams to assist in labor budget projections, financial planning, and external corporate audits. didate Requirements

3+ years of dedicated experienceadministering cross-border payroll architectures with a heavy emphasis on regulatory levies and statutory garnishments.
Expertise in North American payroll statutes, encompassing deep familiarity with both United States and Canadian tax withholding frameworks.
Advanced technical proficiencyin modern cloud-based payroll software suites, specifically regarding backend tax configuration modules.
Critical-thinking capabilitieswith a proven track record of solving complex mathematical imbalances and systemic software bugs.
Advanced data manipulation skills, including mastery of complex formulas, lookups, and data modeling in Microsoft Excel
