We design, manufacture, and support advanced equipment sensing and analysis products, including on-line oil debris sensors, torque measurement sensors, turbine blade health sensors, and at-line oil analysis systems.

Based in Ottawa, Ontario, the Senior Project Engineer will report to the Manager of Project Engineering and will focus on providing technical coordination and leadership across cross-functional engineering projects for external and internal customers at Gastops. This role acts as the technical “glue” within project teams, ensuring engineering activities, decisions, risks, and deliverables remain aligned across disciplines. While the Senior Project Engineer will work closely with dedicated Project Management and Systems Engineering functions, the role is not responsible for owning those functions.

What You’ll Do:

The Senior Project Engineer will be part of the Project Engineering team with the primary focus of executing a variety of internal and external projects by directing cross-disciplined Engineering resources. You will:

  • Provide technical coordination and leadership across cross-functional engineering projects through all product life-cycle stages.
  • Act as the central technical interface between Engineering, Project Management, Systems Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and the Business Units
  • Support project planning by defining technical scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and inputs for schedules and estimates.
  • Coordinate technical inputs for project reviews, status updates, decision points, and performance discussions.
  • Identify, communicate, and help resolve technical risks, issues, trade-offs, and interdependencies across disciplines.
  • Partner with Systems Engineering and Project Management to ensure requirements, priorities, assumptions, and constraints are understood and reflected in execution.
  • Maintain alignment of key technical documentation, design decisions, action items, and issue resolution activities.
  • Facilitate clear communication across cross-functional teams so project goals, technical priorities, and customer needs are understood.Support compliance with project, product, Project Management, Systems Engineering, and Quality processes as they relate to technical execution.
  • Support Project Engineering initiatives, department improvements, technical leadership activities, mentoring, and proposal technical content.

What You Should Bring:

The ideal candidate will have an engineering or equivalent degree with at least 10+ years of demonstrated experience in cross-disciplined engineering environments, including strong technical coordination and leadership experience. Additionally, you should have:

  • 7+ years of cross-functional engineering project or technical coordination experience.
  • 7+ years of experience providing technical leadership across multi-functional engineering teams.
  • 7+ years of design for manufacturability experience.
  • 7+ years of full product life-cycle experience from concept through in-service support.
