Interior Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist for a full-time position at Princeton General Hospital. Ideal candidates will have expertise in clinical chemistry, hematology, and transfusion medicine.
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will perform a range of tests under the supervision of laboratory leadership. This position prioritizes patient-centered care while managing routine and complex laboratory tasks, including specimen collection and test result validation. Your motivation and reliability will contribute to exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct tests with both manual and automated procedures
• Welcome patients and collect specimens accurately
• Safely enter data into the Laboratory Information System
• Validate test results prior to reporting
• Manage instrument maintenance and solution preparation
Requirements:
• Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized program
• Competency exam success and registration in relevant fields
• One year of recent laboratory experience
• Certification with CAMLPR or CSMLS
