We’re driven by what’s possible, leveraging the power of data and technology to empower innovative solutions, inspire one another to dream boldly, and take transformative ownership of decisions and outcomes that directly impact millions of Canadians. Every challenge is an opportunity to lead from the front, working together toward a shared vision that extends far beyond banking. We balance high-performance with investment in your long‑term success, ensuring you have the support you need to do your best work. Here, you’ll take full accountability for your path, upskilling through hands‑on experience and mentorship, to turn your curiosity into a career built on your own terms. Are you ready to redefine what’s next? About the Team
Yes, we’re a credit card company. But we’re more than that too. We’re driven by what our customers want, and how to make their lives simpler. We’re always looking for creative ways to offer digital solutions that make sense for our customers. With your help, we’ll build the next generation of banking in Canada based on customer‑focused values, compelling products and great engineering. About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic leader who is as passionate as we are with helping Canadians succeed with credit. The Third‑Party Management Team provides third party services utilizing integral governance practices to support Capital One’s strategic objectives. As Manager, you will report to the Senior Manager, Third Party Management, and be a first line leader who partners with business customers and stakeholders in third party sourcing and management to provide the best leverage to Capital One in the third party space while mitigating associated third party risks. You will bring your mastery and expertise in all matters related to Supply Chain and hold a high bar, ensuring strict adherence to Capital One’s Third‑Party Risk Management policies and relevant regulatory requirements. In addition, you have deep expertise and market knowledge within assigned supplier categories to support our technology‑focused business to ensure that our third‑party arrangements provide Capital One with a competitive advantage through optimum pricing structures, strong negotiation skills and rationalization, ensuring a stable and effective supply chain. Your Responsibilities:
Accountable for the holistic relationship between Capital One and assigned supplier categories across the end‑to‑end third party life cycle (Due Diligence, Selection, Contracting, Onboarding, Monitoring, and Offboarding), ensuring robust compliance and risk management.
Serve as the Category Manager for third party management execution, accountable for building third party relationships, managing risks, negotiating contracts, and improving effectiveness.
Ensure comprehensive oversight of all suppliers and services within assigned categories.
Build deep internal stakeholder relationships with a high degree of credibility (including at the executive level) to enable, shape, and influence outcomes in the supplier space.
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including enterprise, customer, legal, and internal Risk and Governance functions to support business customer outcomes.
Shape, develop, and execute strategic supplier plans that align with business intent and market trends; leveraging broad market data, insights, competitor information, and a detailed knowledge of suppliers’ businesses to establish a long‑term strategic path.
Manage team deliverables to the established policies, standards, procedures, and processes related to third party management.
Participate in key management forums and contribute to continuous improvement and/or best practices.
Build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and third parties to ensure that business objectives are met and to drive maximum value back into the business.
Leverage industry knowledge and seasoned negotiation and influencing skills to support pricing and third‑party service level commitments outcomes.
Demonstrate expertise in Contract Management, managing suppliers in accordance with contracts while partnering with legal teams to amend, vary, renew, and expand contractual arrangements over time in alignment with regulation and guidance.
Manage multiple priorities with various stakeholders with an acute appreciation for deadlines impacting speed to market for Capital One products or services.
Be an effective change manager through the provision of clear plans and fulfillment activities.
