NLSD is seeking a dedicated Hall Monitor to ensure students attend class punctually and remain engaged. The role includes addressing disruptive behaviors through positive communication and de-escalation strategies. Collaboration with student support workers and administration is essential for maintaining a conducive education environment.
Key Responsibilities: • Assist students in arriving to class on time • Address and manage disruptive student behaviors • Accompany students to designated support areas • Daily debrief with student support staff and administration • Maintain accurate records of daily activities
Requirements: • Grade 12 education preferred • Strong communication skills essential • Ability to handle confidentiality with care • Demonstrated cross-cultural experience • Positive and patient approach to interactions
Support student growth and maintain classroom integrity as a Hall Monitor with NLSD.
