The typical salary for this position ranges from $171,600 – $301,800 CAD + a sales incentive target in Canada. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

The Regional General Manager
will provide leadership and management within the CANE region (Ontario, Quebec, Northeast United States). Responsible for the sales activity for all sales channels, including the independent manufacturing rep firms, and the operational performance of the factory field location located within assigned region. Responsible for executing operational performance at all levels of the region they oversee. Build high-performing teams that champion initiatives – whether driven by divisional or executive leadership.

What You’ll Do
- Establish annual sales and profit forecasts in accordance with the growth plan for the area and consistent with corporate objectives.
- Establish operating budgets for the factory district sales and service operations.
- Work with Rep organization to ensure sales objectives are communicated and achieved.
- Evaluate performance of Reps including monitoring performance results, maintaining product line sales balance and market share growth.
- Develop and lead the ongoing strategy for operational excellence and growth in the factory sales, service and parts areas.
- Lead and manage the factory sales and service leadership as they execute their business plan to meet their growth and financial objectives.
- Provide sales management leadership and guidance at the regional & district level.
- Coordinate relationships between Reps and factory sales and service organizations ensuring “one face to the customer” approach is utilized and the appropriate rules of engagement are followed.
- Responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the owner and national account sales efforts within region.
- Coordinate and interface with various support groups to ensure the appropriate resources are available to the region(s).
- Provide communication to appropriate corporate functions regarding market and industry trends in areas such as pricing, quality, product needs, training and compensation.
- Evaluate the performance of direct reports and provide coaching as necessary.
- Assist in recruitment activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 12+ years of relevant leadership experience in HVAC equipment sales, service, or related industries.
- 8+ years of people leadership experience
- A proven leader with a track record of organizational success, someone who builds trust, develops people, and achieves results.
- A full P&L management background, with the ability to balance strategy, operations, and financial performance.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
