The Town of Midland is seeking a Planner to handle a range of responsibilities under the direction of the Manager, Planning Services. This position requires expertise in planning applications, zoning reviews, and strategic land use initiatives. The ideal candidate will assist in public engagement and support economic development while addressing community inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and process Planning Act applications
• Prepare and present planning evidence at hearings
• Conduct research for strategic land use planning
• Maintain liaison with developers and the public
• Attend and participate in relevant Committee meetings
Requirements:
• Degree in Urban Planning or related field
• Minimum two years of relevant experience
• RPP designation in progress is an asset
• Strong knowledge of Ontario planning processes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills Contribute to the growth of Midland through strategic planning, community engagement, and policy development.
