Summary Delta Star Inc. is looking for a skilled and hands‑on Winder to join our manufacturing team. If you take pride in building high‑quality components, enjoy precision work, and want to be part of a team that creates products that power communities across North America, this role is for you As a Winder, you’ll bring engineering specifications to life by manufacturing, assembling, and inspecting coils with accuracy and craftsmanship. Every coil you produce contributes directly to the reliability and performance of our transformers—making your work essential to our mission.

What You'll Do
In this role, you’ll transform raw materials into expertly wound coils that meet strict engineering and safety standards. From interpreting technical drawings to executing complex winding, brazing, and assembly tasks, you’ll ensure each component is built to the highest level of quality. You’ll work closely with internal teams, maintain precise documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will help keep production running smoothly and efficiently. A Day in the Life Every day brings hands‑on, technical work that requires both focus and skill. You may find yourself: Winding copper wire around disc coils with careful precision Measuring, recording, and inspecting your work to ensure compliance Performing brazing tasks and identifying potential defects Using lifting equipment to safely rotate large coils Reading complex electrical and engineering drawings Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace What We’re Looking For We're seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented individual who enjoys hands‑on technical work and takes pride in producing high‑quality components. You’re someone who works well independently, communicates effectively, and thrives in a team environment where precision and safety matter. If you’re resourceful, mechanically inclined, and enjoy solving problems on the shop floor, you’ll be a great fit. Position Requirements High School Diploma or GED required 1–2 years of experience in a similar role (asset) 2 years of experience in the electrical field (asset) Valid overhead crane certification (asset) Vocational diploma (DEP) in welding or electrical work (asset) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of hand tools and measuring instruments (metric & imperial) Ability to read and interpret electrical and engineering drawings Great problem‑solving skills and resourcefulness Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented Extremely detail‑oriented and capable of executing precision work on delicate materials Commitment to safety and proper handling of equipment Why Our Employees Join, Grow, and Stay At Delta Star, you will find more than a job.
